Intimate, backyard wedding inspiration

July 22, 2017

We were honored to do this elegant styled shoot in February with a group of Wedding Professionals and Creatives! The outcome was magical and breathtaking, and it’s a great inspiration for an intimate wedding. We also love the idea of a backyard wedding in Houston and thought this styled shoot would be a great inspiration. Our original plan and location didn’t go as planned, but luckily we could come up with a backup plan and use my best friend’s house and its unique features to capture these photos! We chose bright and vibrant colors, blushes, pinks, and pops of burgundy to make use of the Pantone color of 2017, which is based on greenery. We incorporated the horse and carriage to use the lush greenery and water fountains and dressed the outdoor swing with stunning bright green orchids. The cake was vintage inspired with the use of antique candelabras and vibrant floral to create that southern elegance. The wedding gown, flower girl dresses, and bridal accessories were brought in by popular bridal boutiques, Something Blue and BHDLN, from the Houston area. All in all, the shoot was a complete success, and we hope you enjoy and love the photos just as much as we did!
